I have been taking this formula for at least 10 years, 3 caps twice a day with lunch and dinner. It has kept me from having to take prescription drugs for bone loss. So far, so good.
I have been using Bone up for years. Bone Up allows the bone to regenerate from the inside of the bone to the outside as opposed to the other way around. I highly recommend this product.
As calcium supplements go, this one is the most well-rounded, complete, and easy-to-swallow calcium I have ever come across. It does have one downside, and I'll get it out of the way first: you have to take 6 pills per day and you can't take all 6 together, you have to space them. You take 2 with each meal. But, considering the benefits, it's well worth the inconvenience.--Not only is it not one of those bullet sized hard pills, it's in capsule form.--It contains a form a calcium that is good for your bones, but affects your blood calcium levels to a lesser extent than other forms of calciums. If you keep your blood calcium levels controlled, you're less likely to get calcifications in your arteries as time goes by.--It contains nutrients that help preserve or promote bone growth such as the often overlooked manganese and boron which I never had in other calcium supplements.--It contains 1,000 mg of D-3 (iff, like me, you're supposed to have 5,000 per day, you need to supplement the difference with D-3 supplements).--It contains many other accompanying and bone supporting supplements such as magnesium, vitamin c, zinc, copper, and a relatively low dose of vitamin MK-7 a form of vitamin K that is particularly helpful for bones. If you take coumadin (warfarin) this cancels out the benefits of the vitamins but it should not cause a problem with other blood thinners. Since all I take is 1 baby aspirin, the MK-7 doesn't interact. My husband takes Eliquis and, supposedly, there is no problem there either.I am so impressed with this product that I have subscribed to it and automatically delivers it to me so I never run out.
My scientist friend recommended this product to support my bones, reduce bone loss, over all support. Check out TheHealthySkeptics.com for details and debunking of 'fake' products and 'great' recommendations.
I have had 5 back/ neck surgeries. This is the only product that has worked with Fusing my bones around the metal. Highly recommend this product
