As calcium supplements go, this one is the most well-rounded, complete, and easy-to-swallow calcium I have ever come across. It does have one downside, and I'll get it out of the way first: you have to take 6 pills per day and you can't take all 6 together, you have to space them. You take 2 with each meal. But, considering the benefits, it's well worth the inconvenience.--Not only is it not one of those bullet sized hard pills, it's in capsule form.--It contains a form a calcium that is good for your bones, but affects your blood calcium levels to a lesser extent than other forms of calciums. If you keep your blood calcium levels controlled, you're less likely to get calcifications in your arteries as time goes by.--It contains nutrients that help preserve or promote bone growth such as the often overlooked manganese and boron which I never had in other calcium supplements.--It contains 1,000 mg of D-3 (iff, like me, you're supposed to have 5,000 per day, you need to supplement the difference with D-3 supplements).--It contains many other accompanying and bone supporting supplements such as magnesium, vitamin c, zinc, copper, and a relatively low dose of vitamin MK-7 a form of vitamin K that is particularly helpful for bones. If you take coumadin (warfarin) this cancels out the benefits of the vitamins but it should not cause a problem with other blood thinners. Since all I take is 1 baby aspirin, the MK-7 doesn't interact. My husband takes Eliquis and, supposedly, there is no problem there either.I am so impressed with this product that I have subscribed to it and automatically delivers it to me so I never run out.
